We built Dova to bring the cozy, satisfying joy of hand-tearing paper to your digital creative workflow, no messy paper scraps or craft supplies required. These are our simple, common-sense guidelines to make sure Dova stays fun, accessible, and useful for every creator who uses it.

No account creation, no sign-up, no personal information required: you can access every single Dova feature immediately after opening the app, 100% free of friction.

What You Can Do With Dova

We want you to get as creative as possible with Dova! You’re welcome to:

• Customize tear roughness, jaggedness, and direction to make any torn paper effect you can imagine, from soft delicate rips to bold uneven edges
• Use all our built-in paper textures (matte, glossy, patterned, textured) and color palettes for your personal or professional projects
• Import your own images, patterns, and assets to customize your torn paper creations 100% to your taste
• Stack layers, adjust opacity, and blend edges to build rich, tactile compositions
• Export your finished work as high-resolution images to use anywhere: social media posts, design projects, DIY craft mockups, digital collages, logos, posters, and more
• Use all creations you make with Dova for personal or commercial use, no attribution required (your work is 100% yours!)

Simple Rules for Everyone

We just ask that you use Dova respectfully, to keep the platform great for all creators:

• Only import content that you own or have permission to use, don’t upload or create content that harms, offends, or exploits other people
• Don’t try to modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the Dova app itself or our built-in asset library as standalone products
• Don’t use automated tools to scrape, copy, or mass-download our built-in textures, patterns, or resources
• Don’t use Dova to create content that impersonates other people or organizations without permission

Our Promise to You

• Your privacy is our priority: since you don’t need to log in to use Dova, we don’t collect, store, or share any of your personal information. All of your imported assets and creation processes happen locally on your own device, we never access or save your work.
• We’ll keep updating Dova with new features, more paper textures, new editing tools, and performance improvements for free, as often as we can.
• We listen to all user feedback! If you have feature requests, bug reports, or just want to share your cool Dova creations with us, we’d love to hear from you.
• We’ll never put paywalls behind core editing features: all basic and advanced tearing, editing, and export tools will always be available for free to every user.

Small Notes

While we work hard to keep Dova running smoothly 24/7, we can’t guarantee that the app will never have temporary bugs, crashes, or downtime. If you run into any issues, just reach out to us and we’ll fix it as fast as we can.

We may update this agreement occasionally as we add new features to Dova. If we make changes, we’ll post a notice inside the app so you’re always in the loop. Continuing to use Dova after the updated agreement takes effect means you’re okay with the new terms.
